In-person classes suspended in more areas due to hot weather --- DepEd

Alternative delivery modes implemented in affected areas


Due to extreme heat, face-to-face classes have been suspended in several areas across seven regions on Tuesday, April 2, according to the monitoring conducted by the Department of Education (DepEd).

DepEd said face-to-face classes have been suspended in Quezon City, National Capital Region (NCR), due to the hot weather.

In-person classes were also suspended in Dagupan City (Region 1); Polangui, Albay (Region 5); Iloilo City; Kabankalan City; Silay City; Himamaylan City; Bago City; Bacolod; and Negros Occidental (Region 6); Maasin Central School in Maasin City (Region 8); Pagadian City Pilot School and Buenavista Integrated School in Zamboanga City (Region 9); and the Municipalities of Banga and Tantangan, General Santos, Polomolok, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Maasim in Saranggani (Region 12).

DepEd said the affected regions are implementing Alternative Delivery Modes (ADMs) to ensure learning continuity for students amidst the sweltering heat.
