4 killed in bus-tricycle collision in Urdaneta City

URDANETA CITY, Pangasinan – Four persons were killed in a collision between a passenger bus and a tricycle on the Manila North Road here on Easter Sunday.

Police identified the victims as Joegie Moso Taguidin, 62, tricycle driver; and passengers Raymund Andres Lasalita, 32; Reynaldo Paet Rodillas, 57, and Romeo Paet Andres, 50, all residents of Barangay Balligi, Laoac, Pangasinan.

Investigation said the tricycle encroached on the lane and collided with the Santa Lucia Express bus driven by Rangie Labasan Omotoy, 41.

The victims were taken to the Urdaneta District Hospital where they were declared dead.

Both vehicles incurred damages with undetermined cost of repair.

Police took Omotoy into custody and later on entered into an amicable settlement with the family of victims.
