Prime Video announces season 2 for phenomenal 'Fallout' series
Prime Video announced on April 19 that its highly successful post-apocalyptic series, “Fallout,” has been renewed for a second season.
The series is based on the popular “Fallout” video game franchise and stars actress Ella Purnell as Lucy, an optimistic Vault-dweller with an all-American can-do spirit; Aaron Moten as Maximus, a young soldier who rises to the rank of squire in the militaristic faction called Brotherhood of Steel; and Walton Goggins as the Ghoul, a morally ambiguous bounty hunter who holds within him a 200-year history of the post-nuclear world.
Manila Bulletin previously interviewed Purnell and director and executive producer Jonathan Nolan during a roadshow in Mumbai, India.

“Fallout” is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there is almost nothing left to have.
In the series, set in Los Angeles in the year 2296, or 219 years after a nuclear explosion that decimated the planet, a small group of privileged people lives in underground dwellings called Vaults. In the post-apocalyptic world, survival becomes a struggle.
The series comes from Kilter Films and executive producers Nolan and Lisa Joy. Nolan directed the first three episodes. Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner serve as executive producers, creators, and co-showrunners.
“Fallout” achieved success upon its release on April 11 in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Prime Video said in its first four days, the series has become a hit with its global audience, ranking among the OTT service’s top three most-watched titles ever and the most-watched season globally since “Rings of Power.”
According to independent streaming analytics website FlixPatrol (not affiliated with Prime Video), “Fallout” placed first on Prime Video in 110 countries and regions including the US, United Kingdom, Philippines, South Korea, Japan, India, France, Canada, Italy, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.
On Rotten Tomatoes, "Fallout" is ranked No. 1 among most popular TV shows with a rating of 94 percent.
