Malabon LGU launches 2nd 'Walang Tulugan, Serbisyo Caravan'

The Malabon City government launched the second iteration of its “Walang Tulugan, Serbisyo Caravan” on Friday, April 19. 

It is a 24-hour delivery of government services program to Malabuenos and is part of the 23rd Charter day celebration of the city. 

Among the services under the program is the Malabon Ahon Blue Card (MABC) Caravan in Barangay Flores where City Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Office personnel distributed the unclaimed blue cards of around 3,000 residents (both old and newly registered card holders who have yet to get their MABCs) from 9 a.m. on Friday (April 19) until 9 a.m. on Saturday (April 20). 

The MABC is made for easier distribution of “ayuda” which was launched in December 2022. 

“Muli po nating inilunsad ang ating Walang Tulugan, Serbisyo Caravan dahil nais nating mas mailapit pa ang ating mga serbisyo sa ating mga mahal na Malabueno. Ito ay parte ng ating layunin na maiparamdam sa kanila na ang ating pamahalaang lungsod ay handang tumulong, umagapay, lagi po kaming nandito. Mayroon tayong mga serbisyo para sa lahat, kaya iniimbitahan ko ang lahat na lumahok sa ating carvan. Lalo na ngayong ating pinagdiriwang ang ating Cityhood Anniversary. Lagi naman pong bukas ang ating opisina kung mayroon man ho na nangangailangan ng tulong (We have relaunched our Walang Tulugan, Service Caravan because we want to bring our services even closer to our dear Malabuenos. This is part of our goal to make them feel that our city government is ready to help and support them. We are always here. We have services for everyone, so I invite everyone to participate in our caravan especially now that we are celebrating our Cityhood Anniversary. Our office is always open if anyone needs help),” Mayor Jeannie Sandoval said.

The Malabon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) personnel conducted a Disaster Forum with Community Drill Scenario at Dona Juana Integrated School in Barangay Dampalit.

 They taught residents the proper evacuation process during flood and other emergencies and also distributed 150 first aid and hygiene kits.

The City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) launched the “Sa Plastic na Basura, May Kita Ka” plastic bottle collection activity at Robinson’s Malabon where residents can bring their clean polyethylene terephthalate bottles in exchange for cash.

The City Health Department (CHD) will provide emergency and medical consultations, animal bite, family planning, and dental services, cervical cancer screening, oral polio vaccinations, and PhilHealth Konsulta Package Registration for residents at the City’s  Super Health Centers from 3:00 p.m. on April 19 to 8:00 a.m. on April 20.

For jobseekers, the City Public Employment Services Office organized an in-house job interview activity offering 1,106 job vacancies at the Malabon City Hall. 

Free legal consultation/assistance was also offered by the City Legal Department on the same day (8:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.) aiming to extend help to residents by providing guidance and support needed to resolve their legal concerns.

The first “Walang Tulugan, Serbisyo Caravan” was conducted on January 15-16, 2024 and served around 34,484 beneficiaries.
