Laborer shot dead during drinking spree in Quezon

GUINAYANGAN, Quezon â€“ A 42-year-old construction worker was shot dead during a drinking spree in Barangay Calimpak here on Thursday night, April 18.

THE location of the municipality of Guinayangan in Quezon.

Police identified the victim as Mario Mabini Francis, a resident of Barangay Calimpak.

Investigation said Francis was having a drinking session at the house of a neighbor when two men appeared and shot him in the face.

Francis died on the spot and the suspects fled.

Meanwhile, a 32-year-old company secretary was found dead with blood oozing from his neck in his house in Purok 4, Barangay Pulong Santa Cruz, City of Santa Rosa, Laguna, on Thursday morning, April 18.

Police identified the victim as Rodger Dones Metiam, single.

His body was discovered by his sister, Andrea, and informed barangay tanods or watchmen who reported the incident to the police.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation on both cases.
