Grade 8 student shot dead in Batangas

AGONCILLO, Batangas -- A 13-year-old Grade 8 student was shot dead in Barangay Banyaga here on Wednesday morning, April 17.

Police identified the victim as Jenny.

Investigation said the victim was on her way to the Banyaga National High School alone at around 6 a.m. when a lone gunman appeared and shot her with a 9mm pistol.

She died on the spot from a bullet wound to the head.

The suspect fled on a motorcycle.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
