Expect heavy traffic due to 'Take A Ride for Advocacy' bike ride event in QC

Expect heavy traffic as the local government of Quezon City issued a traffic advisory for the upcoming “23rd Tour of the Fireflies - Take A Ride for Advocacy! (TARA!)” by the Firefly Brigade on Sunday, April 21.

The event will start at 4 a.m. and end at 12 p.m.


Motorists should expect heavy traffic along Kalayaan Avenue, Matino St., Anonas Sikatuna, Chico St., Xavierville Avenue, Esteban Abada St., F. Dela Rosa St., and Katipunan Avenue.


It added that motorists should anticipate traffic jams along Luzon Avenue, Congressional Avenue, Epifanio De Los Santos Avenue (EDSA) Muñoz, EDSA Balintawak, Araneta Avenue, Quezon Avenue, Timog Avenue, and East Avenue.

Personnel of the Traffic and Transport Management Department (TTMD) and the Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS) have coordinated to manage the traffic flow in the affected areas.


The city government advised motorists to take alternative routes.
