Magsino reacts to death of 3 OFWs in flood-stricken Dubai

OFW Party-list Rep. Marissa "Del Mar" Magsino has expressed sadness over the fate of three overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), who reportedly perished as a result of the floods in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
"Ikinalulungkot natin ang pagkasawi ng ating tatlong OFWs dahil sa malakas na pagbaha sa United Arab Emirates. Nakikiramay tayo sa kanilang naiwang pamilyang," said Magsino, a member of the minority bloc in the House of Representatives.

"Ipinagdarasal din natin ang ibang mga kababayan nating nakakaranas ng kalamidad na ito (We also pray for our other countrymen who went through this calamity)," she said.
According to a report from the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), two female OFWs died after they ran out of air in the vehicles that they were trapped in during the flood.
The thrid OFW died after his vehicle fell in a sinkhole.
"Pinanawagan natin sa ating mga kababayan sa United Arab Emirates na patuloy na mag-ingat at humingi ng tulong sa mga awtoridad sa pagkakataong kayo ay nahihirapan," Magsino said.
