Empower communities and drive change: Join the 2024 LG ambassador challenge

LG Philippines and Korea Food for the Hungry International team up to fund transformative local projects aimed at eradicating poverty and enhancing education

LG Philippines, in collaboration with Korea Food for the Hungry International (KFHI), is calling for entries for the 2024 LG Ambassador Challenge. This open competition presents a unique opportunity for participants to explore innovative solutions and make a real difference in their local community.

Established in 2017 in Bangladesh, the LG Ambassador Challenge welcomes participation from groups committed to promoting positive change and addressing social issues.

This year, LG and KFHI aim to leverage LG products and technologies to address Sustainable Development Goals (SDG1) - Ending poverty in all its forms everywhere, and (SGD4) - Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Selected proposals from participants will receive grants to fund their initiatives and the full support and resources of LG and KFHI. LG and KFHI are committed to helping you turn your ideas into impactful projects.

In the inaugural LG Ambassador Challenge for the Philippines, Bahay Aruga's 'Ride for Hope' and Red Charity Gala's 'Roof for Siargao' emerged as the winning projects.

Last year's winners, including initiatives such as 'Life is Good, When Life Has Light' in Calauan, Laguna, 'Flowing Water for Growing Future' in Lawaguin, Nagcarlan, Laguna, and 'Paliparan Community Livelihood' in Dasmariñas, Cavite, exemplify the profound influence community-driven endeavors can have on fostering positive change.

Interested applicants can send an email to [email protected]. With email Subject: LG Ambassador Challenge - (Project Entry Name and Location). All project entries shall include the entry form, which can be downloaded from https://bit.ly/LGAC2024EntryForm.

Supporting documents like photos and captions should be compiled in a single Microsoft Word file, while video attachments should be in landscape orientation. Digital format entries no more than 20MB should also be sent to [email protected].
