Mapa Police Community Precinct, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced on Thursday, April 18.
DPWH National Capital Region Director Loreta M. Malaluan said the new police station has been inaugurated at the intersection of Peralta Street cor. V. Mapa, in Barangay 599.
The project features a three-storey building that comes with necessary facilities such as electricity and water supply, air conditioning, and restroom.
It includes a ramp equipped with handrails in accordance with Batas Pambansa 344, or the Accessibility Law, to ensure the safety of persons with disabilities (PWDs).
Malaluan said the project was constructed with a total cost of P12 million, funded under the 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
“We hope that with this new facility, our police forces will be able to efficiently carry out their duties in maintaining public order and security,” Malaluan added.
