DPWH 5th most trusted, best performing government agency in PH – survey

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) welcomed on Thursday, April 18, the results of the first quarter Tugon ng Masa survey conducted by research firm Octa which ranked it as one of the most trusted and top performing agencies in the nation.

"This is an encouraging result that measures the public sentiment of our department. It is a reflection of the steadfast efforts, commitment, determination, and dedication of every DPWH official and personnel,” DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said in a statement.

Based on the nationwide survey conducted by OCTA Research from March 11 to 14, DPWH obtained a trust rating of 71 percent, the fifth highest among government agencies.

The survey showed that in key areas of the Philippines, DPWH's trust rating ranges from 58 percent to 85 percent, with the highest in Mindanao and the lowest in Metro Manila.

Furthermore, the DPWH received a 72 percent performance rating in the same survey, leading to its recognition as the fifth best performing government agency.

The DPWH's performance rating ranges from 59 percent to 80 percent, with the highest in Mindanao, followed by the Visayas and Balance Luzon, and the lowest in the NCR.
