Creamline’s Bea De Leon and Denden Revilla relished their first match against former team Choco Mucho and admitted it was weird to be on the other side of the court during this critical matchup in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.

But in the end, the duo thanked their Cool Smashers teammates for anchoring them throughout the match, where they won, 25-17, 25-22, 25-19, for a share of the lead with the Flying Titans in this final stretch of eliminations.
“At some point, kinakabahan ako during the game, pero hindi ako pinabayaan ng mga teammates ko,” said De Leon, who went on to finish with nine points.
“Malaking bagay din yung confidence and trust na binigay sakin ng mga coaches namin. Somehow, yun yung nagpakalma sakin and nag-push talaga na ma-handle ko yung kailangan kong gawin for the team,” she added.
Revilla, who took charge of their floor defense as a libero, echoed the sentiment.
“We’re happy we got this win because it gives us momentum going forward. It’s weird at first (playing against former teammates), but when we were inside the court, it’s all business,” she said.
De Leon and Revilla were recruited to Creamline only a few months ago after playing for Choco Mucho for years including last conference, where the Flying Titans played but lost to the Cool Smashers in the finals.
Creamline’s win over Choco Mucho forged a two-way tie on top with identical 8-2 marks, keeping the semifinal race tight as Petro Gazz, PLDT and Chery Tiggo are at close second with 7-2 records.
The Cool Smashers will face the PLDT High Speed Hitters for their last prelims assignment while the Flying Titans will battle the Farm Fresh Foxies.
