A 22-year-old man was nabbed by the Pasig City Police personnel on Tuesday, April 16, after yielding P1.7 million worth of shabu at a checkpoint on F. Legaspi Street, Brgy. Maybunga, Pasig City.

The suspect was identified as alias "Win," a high school student and habal-habal driver.
Based on the police report, personnel of the Rosario Police Sub-Station (SS7) were conducting a checkpoint in the area and flagged-down the suspect riding a blue Honda Click scooter.
During inspection, the police asked Win for his driver’s license and the OR/CR of the motorcycle. However he started getting uneasy and uncooperative and even kicked one of the policemen.
The suspect fled the scene and a short chase ensued. He was arrested and a bag he was carrying yielded P1,705,440 worth of shabu.
The suspect as well as the recovered pieces of evidence were brought to the NHQ-Forensic Group in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
Alias Win is now facing charges for violations of Section 11, Article II of R.A. No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), and Direct Assault, Resistance and Disobedience.
