Big-time drug suspect, lawyer yield P1.3-M shabu in QC

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Tuesday, April 16, arrested two big-time drug pushers, one of them a lawyer, in Barangay Central Diliman, Quezon City.

The police arrested Camilo Montesa, 57; and Maria Balajadia, 39. Confiscated from them were P1,373,600 worth of shabu.

Police said the suspects were listed on the Directorate for Intelligence's (DI) drug watchlist.

They were arrested by the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) after receiving information from a confidential informant about their illegal drug activities in Barangay Central Diliman.

The suspects were caught in the act of selling illegal drugs worth P81,000 to a police poseur buyer at around 5:25 a.m. on Tuesday.

Police confiscated from them 202 grams of shabu and other non-drug evidence.

The suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
