Quezon City gov’t opens 3-story building of PRC-QC Chapter


The Quezon City local government, together with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), inaugurated the newly built three-story building of the PRC-QC Chapter at Quezon City Hall on Tuesday, April 16.

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, along with PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dick Gordon, Senator Bong Go, Secretary-General Dr. Gwen Pang, Representative PM Vargas, and city council members, led the inauguration.


The new building features a blood bank, a command center, a training room, and other facilities to provide more prompt, quick and quality service.

Belmonte expressed gratitude for the continuous cooperation between the city government and PRC in serving and assisting the QCitizens.


Following the inauguration, more than 5,000 new volunteers took part in a mass oath-taking ceremony as part of the PRC’s 77th year anniversary celebration.

City Administrator Mike Alimurung, former Speaker and Mayor Sonny Belmonte, city department heads, as well as the members of the PRC-QC Chapter Board of Directors, Chairman and PRC Governor Ernesto Isla and Chapter Administrator Janice Adolfo also graced the event.
