During the launch and blessing of the surgical system at MakatiMed on Tuesday, April 16, it was revealed that the da Vinci Systems robotic surgery represents a significant “advance in precision surgery.”

Surgeons are now empowered to make smaller, more precise incisions, significantly reducing the risk of infection and expediting the healing process, it said in a statement.

MakatiMed also said the innovative system is highly versatile, catering to a wide array of medical specialties including urology, hepatobiliary, cardiovascular, thoracic, and general surgery, OB-Gyne, and otorhinolaryngology or ENT TDT.

Patients undergoing procedures with the da Vinci Systems robotic surgery can expect numerous benefits with smaller incisions, and experience less pain and discomfort, leading to shorter hospital stays and quicker recoveries.

Additionally, the system's precision minimizes scarring and reduces the need for blood transfusions, enhancing overall patient outcomes.

MakatiMed said its commitment to compassionate care is steadfast, ensuring that each patient receives personalized attention throughout their surgical journey.

This approach not only saves time and resources but also prioritizes patient well-being, it noted.

It highlighted that the groundbreaking advancement in surgical technology sets a new standard for excellence in surgical care in the Philippines.
