Cops arrest man for raping stepdaughter in Rizal

Operatives of the Antipolo Component City Police on Monday, April 15, arrested a 60-year-old man who was tagged as the most wanted person (MWP) in Rizal for raping his minor stepdaughter in 2018.

Authorities said that the suspect, who was identified as alias Nanie, was arrested in Barangay San Andres, Cainta, Rizal on Monday at around 4:36 p.m.

The suspect was collared by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the court for two counts of qualified rape with no bail recommended and child abuse with a bail set at P200,000.

Investigation disclosed that the suspect raped his 16-year-old stepdaughter in 2018 inside their house in Antipolo.

Police said the suspect is currently detained at the Antipolo Custodial Facility.
