TIAONG, Quezon – Police seized P1.7-million worth of suspected shabu and arrested two drug pushers in buy-bust operations on Sunday in this town.

Lester was caught in Barangay Lusacan and confiscated from him was 5.49 grams of shabu worth P111,996.
Neil, a high-value individual, was nabbed in Sitio Omar, Barangay Lagalag. Recovered from the suspect was 11 sachets of shabu weighing 78.43 grams with a market value of P1,599,972 and a 9mm pistol with bullets.
Meanwhile, lawmen caught a tour guide tagged as a high-value individual in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Balibago, Calatagan, Batangas, last Friday.
Police Regional Office 4-A chief Police Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas said the suspect, Doy, 38, was apprehended after he sold shabu to a police poseur-buyer.
Recovered from the suspect were seven heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 35 grams valued at P238,000 and the boodle money.
Lucas commended the Calatagan police for the successful operation.
Drug-related charges will be filed against the suspects.
