Mayor Olivarez orders early dismissal of employees due to transport strike

Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez ordered the early suspension of work for local employees due to the nationwide transport strike being staged by transport groups Manibela and Piston on Monday, April 15.
Olivarez issued a memorandum addressed to all department heads, chief of offices, barangay chairmen, schools division, superintendent, school principals and city government employees declaring the early dismissal of work at 3:00 p.m. in consideration of employees who might encounter difficulties in commuting.
The mayor said seven offices in the city government providing vital services such as health services, disaster and calamities response shall continue their operations. These are the Parañaque Traffic Management Office, Special Operations and Communication Office, City Health Office-Health and Management Service (HEMS) Operations Duty, Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (DRRMO), Ospital ng Parañaque 1 and 2, Public Safety Services Division (PSSD)/Civilian Security Unit Frontline Security Personnel, and Health Centers.
