2 students killed in tricycle-truck collision

CLAVERIA, Cagayan – Two students died in a collision between a tricycle and a truck in Barangay Culao here on April 13.

Police identified the victims as Edmar Cabugadao, 20, driver, and back rider Lloyd Lagarico, 19, both residents of Centro 1, Sanchez Mira, Cagayan.

The tricycle was speeding and encroached on the lane and rammed the truck driven by Erwin Ilovino, 51. 

The victims sustained severe injuries and were taken to the Northern Cagayan District Hospital here where they were declared dead.

Ilovino is under the custody of the Claveria police for proper disposition.
