Bicol Saro Party-list Rep. Brian Raymund Yamsuan says he is “humbled and deeply honored” after winning the “Outstanding Public Servant” award for the year 2023 from the RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD).
“I am thankful to the RP-Mission and Development Foundation for recognizing our efforts to make public service felt not only by Bicolanos, but by all our countrymen who belong to the vulnerable and marginalized sectors of society,” said Yamsuan in a statement Sunday, April 14
“This recognition inspires me further to make good governance viral by becoming an example of dedication and excellence in serving our fellow Filipinos,” he added.
“We in Bicol Saro Party-list humbly share this award with our countrymen, especially our supporters. We are grateful for their support in helping us accomplish our collective goal of making life safe, secure and comfortable for every Filipino family,” the neophyte lawmaker further said.
According to the RPMD, Yamsuan’s efforts have “notably transformed” the party-list system in the Philippines through his self-styled public service that “profoundly resonates” with the Filipino people.
“By revolutionizing the party-list system through his personalized approach to public service, Congressman Yamsuan has not only made a tangible difference in the lives of many but also set a new benchmark for leadership within the Philippine political landscape,” RPMD said in its Facebook page.
“His work, marked by an unwavering commitment to service, has played a pivotal role in enhancing the representation and direct services of the Bicol Saro Party-list, emphasizing the importance of addressing the needs of the underrepresented,” it continued.
Together with the “Outstanding Public Servant” award, Yamsuan also received the Laurel Trophy which is said to represent his “outstanding contributions to the advancement and welfare of Philippine society”.
Aside from him, House Majority Leader Manuel Jose “Mannix” Dalipe also received the “Outstanding Public Servant” award for 2023.
RPMD had earlier conferred this accolade to House Speaker Martin Romualdez and Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez.
