ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo will file a bill seeking to make the acquisition of birth certificates and clearances free of charge for persons with disabilities (PWDs) and single parents who are applying for jobs.

Tulfo said that under the bill, documents such as birth certificate; NBI (National Bureau of Investigation), police, and barangay clearances; and the health certificate will be free for PWDs and single parents.

“Instead of paying for these requirements, malaking tulong sa mga PWDs at solo parents natin ang matitipid nila,” said Tulfo, the House deputy majority leader for communications.

(The money that PWDs and solo parents will save from paying for these documents will he of big help to them.)

(Any savings that they can get will serves as a big help while they are looking for employment.)

There is an existing law that gives such requirements for free, but it only applies to first-time job seekers.
