Muntinlupa LGU implements new traffic scheme at Alabang viaduct area

The Muntinlupa City government has implemented a new traffic scheme at the Alabang viaduct, one of the busiest areas in the city.

Danidon Nolasco, head of the Muntinlupa Traffic Management Bureau (MTMB), announced the new scheme to ease the flow of traffic.

The Alabang viaduct has roads leading to the South Luzon Expressway toll gate and Muntinlupa City hall, and a U-turn slot.

Nolaso said the U-turn slot in front of Starmall has been relocated and there is now a lane segregation for vehicles going to different destinations.

“The objective of this is to prevent traffic from slowing down,” he said.

Under the lane segregation, there is an exclusive lane for loading and unloading of public utility vehicles, and there are also separate lanes for motorists going to the National Road and SLEX.
