The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the heat index in Dagupan City, Pangasinan reached 46°C on Sunday, April 14.

PAGASA said 14 other areas experienced “dangerous” heat indices including Aparri, Cagayan, and Puerto Princesa City, Palawan at 44°C followed by a heat index of 43°C in Central Bicol University State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) station in Pili, Camarines Sur.
It also recorded a heat index of 42°C Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; ISU Ichague, Isabela; Central Luzon State University (CLSU) Muñoz, Nueva Ecija; Ambulong, Tanauan, Batangas; Aborlan, Palawan; Iloilo City, Iloilo; Dumangas, Iloilo; Tacloban, Leyte; Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur; Cotabato City, Maguindanao.
PAGASA said heat indices ranging from 42°C to 51°C are considered “dangerous,” which is why, drinking plenty of water is necessary.
It also warned the public that heat stroke is possible due to continued exposure.
