This Antipolo sanctuary seamlessly combines Filipino and Scandinavian design concepts
Hoogah Homes unveils its first residential project, Brook House

Picture waking up to the gentle rustle of leaves and the fresh scent of pine in the air. Imagine yourself in a home away from the city's hustle and bustle – that's what Brook House by Hoogah Homes has to offer.

The developer introduced its inaugural project, Brook House, at Mandarin Sky Restaurant in Valley Golf and Country Club, Antipolo, on April 6, 2024. Present at the event were Hoogah Homes' co-founders Arch. Nikki Boncan-Buensalido and Engr. Thess Palomo Marquez. Also in attendance were Arch. Jason Buensalido, the principal chief architect and chief design ambassador of Barchan + Architecture, the project’s designer; and Engr. Mike Marquez, president and CEO of Evermount Construction Corporation.

This three-story contemporary home spans 269 square meters and is scheduled for construction at Barrington Place Town and Country Estates in Antipolo by April 2025. Its design harmoniously blends the cozy feel of Filipino houses with Scandinavian concept of hygge, evoking comfort and relaxation.

During the event, Arch. Boncan-Buensalido elaborated on the unique Fil-Scandi design philosophy of the property. "Having a constant and graceful interaction between the built and the natural environments was important when we’re designing Brook House, and the intrinsic link between the calm and comfortable hygge and tropical sensibilities of ‘maaliwalas’ completed the puzzle,” she said. “Both design principles prioritize inviting you to relax, connect with nature, and encourage meaningful moments with your loved ones by way of clean tonal palettes and thoughtful spatial arrangements."

Brook House features four bedrooms with balconies, five bathrooms, family hall, multipurpose room, and a garden. Its straightforward layout draws inspiration from tropical architectural principles, maximizing open spaces to promote natural airflow and seamless integration with the surroundings. This design ensures a refreshing breeze and scenic views, alleviating the summer heat.

“We’re committed to creating spaces that redefine how we live by filtering out the stress and complexity of the modern world. We want you to come home to a sanctuary that enables you to pause, reflect, and appreciate the profound joys in everyday living. By blending the distinctly Filipino and Scandinavian design philosophies together, we hope to inspire future homeowners to pursue a purposeful, positive, and fulfilling life,” shared Engr. Thess Marquez.

The project also boasts accessibility to amenities. Valley Golf and Country Club is approximately 500 meters away, and it's less than 10 kilometers from SM City Masinag, Metro Antipolo Hospital, and schools such as Our Lady of Fatima University and Assumption Antipolo.
