Rizal Schools Division continues to lead in Calabarzon 2024 Athletic Meet

The Rizal Schools Division comprised of public elementary and secondary schools in 13 municipalities of the province dominates the ongoing Calabarzon 2024 Regional Athletic Association Meet (RAAM) in Sta. Rosa, San Pedro and Biñan, Laguna as well as in Tanauan, Batangas.
As of 9:46 p.m. on April 12, Team Rizal was the leader in the overall medal tally with 109 gold, 88 silver and 63 bronze medals based on the official partial count posted by Calabarzon Heroes, the official Facebook page of the DepEd CALABARZON RAAM.
Second in the overall medal tally was Dasmarinas with 32 gold; 50 silver and 28 bronze medals while third in the lead was Sta. Rosa City with 30 gold, 15 silver, and 33 bronze medals.
There are 23 schools division in Southern Tagalog Region competing until April 13 in the 2024 RAAM.

Meanwhile, Antipolo City Schools Division, which is separate from the DepEd Rizal Schools Division, was 11th placer in the overall medal count pocketing 11 gold, 18 silver and 30 bronze medals.
The Team Rizal for Special Needs Education (SNED), a separate category for student athletes with special needs, also topped the medal tally with 14 gold, 13 silver, and 7 bronze.
Second in the partial medal count was Quezon with 10 gold, eight silver and six bronze medals; while Lucena City got eight gold, four silver and four bronze medals.
