During their corporate visit to Royal Aesthetics at SM North Tower in Quezon City on April 11, the candidates shared their mantra for staying beautiful on a hot day. Issa Denisse Deleon (Baler, Aurora) - I balance the extreme heat by staying outdoors. Kasi kapag ginagamit natin madalas yung technology like aircon, lalo tayong nagiging mas mainit. When we go outdoors, we have natural air.
Merryjoy Dayrit (Bustos, Bulacan) - The key to beating the heat is simple and practical: stay hydrated and apply sunscreen. These tips are easy to incorporate into our daily routines.
Ira Patricia Malaluan (Batangas City) — As a beauty queen, I must apply sunblock because caring for our skin is essential. As earth advocates, we must get our hands dirty to plant trees and raise awareness, so sunblock is really important. Like our fellow queens, we must be hydrated and inspire others.
Jonalyn Balauro (Aglipay, Quirino) — I stay hydrated and use sunscreen since we often go out.
Marinell Salvador (Cabanatuan) — Our strategies to combat the heat are not just about personal comfort. We wear comfortable clothes, take care of our skin, and use sunscreen in the short term, but in the long term, we actively advocate for the environment. We plant trees with our community government in Cabanatuan City because we believe it's what our planet needs right now. As women of the earth, we are raising awareness about climate change, a responsibility we all share.
Cath Santiago (Pasig City) — To stay hydrated, I bring my tumbler to avoid buying water bottles for waste disposal. We should also find ways to lessen carbon emissions that can contribute to our environment.
Ansha Lichelle Jones (Zamboanga City) —Aside from taking care of myself, it is also important to educate the public on carbon footprints, plant more trees, and reduce transportation because we all know pollution is one of the reasons we experience climate change.
Abigail Supilanas Cajegas (Dasol, Pangasinan) — I go free diving to combat the heat. I invite everyone to do free diving because it lets you connect with the ocean and nature deep down. We can also wear light-colored clothes so that the heat will not be trapped inside our clothes. Be hydrated.
Sam Samara (Makati City) —You must be healthy to combat the heat or cold weather. We need to raise awareness about getting into fitness by taking care of your body and your health. Eat healthy food. If you have a healthy body, you have a healthy mind to combat any weather.
