Landco recognized at Global Economics Awards

Awarded for its leisure and sustainable developments

H.E. Amb. Artur Dmochowski of the Embassy of Poland in Thailand presented the Global Economic Awards to Landco Pacific Corporation for the Best Leisure Real Estate (Resort Estate) Developer of the Year award. Accepting the award on behalf of Landco were CFO Marycris Panganiban, Sales Admin & Documentation Head Rosemarie Napao, and Treasury Head Carmela Landicho.

Landco Pacific Corporation, a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC), was awarded the Best Leisure Real Estate (Resort Estate) Developer of the Year at the 2023 Global Economics Awards held on January  in Bangkok, Thailand.

In addition to this recognition, Landco CEO Erickson Manzano was honored for his Outstanding Contribution Towards Sustainability in Real Estate Development.

Manzano expressed his gratitude to the awarding body for acknowledging Landco's efforts in catering to Filipinos' modern lifestyle through leisure concepts, particularly with Landco's BeachTowns in Batangas. He also thanked the Global Economics Awards for recognizing Landco's endeavors to develop projects aligned with a sustainable future.

“Sustainability is embedded in our corporate DNA, not because we have to, but because it’s the right thing to do. These awards energize us to continue ramping up the sustainability initiatives in our developments to leave a lasting and sustainable legacy for future generations and for other players in the real estate industry to emulate,” said Manzano.

Among Landco's proud leisure developments is Calatagan South Beach (CaSoBe), a mixed residential and commercial development located in Calatagan, Batangas. This 15-hectare estate will feature a hotel, condominiums, events place, restaurants, bars, and co-working spaces, all masterfully designed to deliver high-end leisure resort living.

Another noteworthy project is the 23-hectare Club Laiya, a themed beach tourism estate with two districts: Seaside and Premier.

To give back to its host community, Landco implements a long-term corporate social responsibility program, including the Adopt-a-Scholar program in partnership with Batangas State University and local public high schools. This program aims to financially aid selected students within the vicinity of Landco BeachTowns in Calatagan and Laiya, San Juan, Batangas.

The annual Global Economics Awards, hosted by UK’s leading business and finance magazine The Global Economics, recognizes businesses fostering exemplary work cultures for regional and global economies.
