Korean drama ‘Wonderful World’ episode 13 grabs first place in ratings


Ahead of its finale, the Korean drama “Wonderful World,” starring Kim Nam-joo and Cha Eun-woo, grabbed first place in the ratings for its episode 13. 

According to polling firm Nielsen Korea, the 13th episode of “Wonderful World” on April 12 on Korean TV network MBC received a nationwide rating of 11.4 percent (peaking at 13.1 percent).

With this, “Wonderful World” ranked first among all programs (terrestrial, comprehensive and paid platforms) that aired on Friday. It was watched by 1.9 million people. 

This is the same rating–and the highest for the drama to date–for episodes 9 and 11. 

In the metropolitan area (Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi), episode 13 got a rating of 11.6 percent to rank first among all Friday programs. It was watched by 1.24 million people. 

This is the drama’s second highest metropolitan area rating. Episode 9 got 11.7 percent. 

The 14th and final episode of “Wonderful World” will air on April 13. It was previously announced by the production team of the drama that the 14th episode will be extended to 90 minutes. 

The team said, “Accordingly, after careful consideration, we decided to expand the programming in order to convey the character's narrative well ahead of the end. As the viewers have given us so much love, we will repay their support by making the final episode more solid.”

“Wonderful World” is a human mystery drama  about a professor (Kim Nam-joo) who exacts revenge when her son is killed.
