From debt to death: Man killed for trying to collect debt in Rizal

A man was brutally killed after trying to collect the money a backhoe operator borrowed from him in Sitio Suyok, Barangay Tandang Kutyo, Tanay, Rizal on Friday, April 12.

According to Tanay Police, the victim, identified as Melvin Tical, went to an excavation site where the suspect works to collect the money that the latter borrowed from him.

While riding the heavy machinery, the suspect and Tical had a verbal argument regarding the former's debt which prompted him to hit the victim with the arm of the backhoe.

The suspect then crushed Tical twice with the bucket of the backhoe, killing him instantly.

The suspect is now under the custody of the police and is facing murder charges.
