5 nabbed, P700,000 worth of illegal drugs seized in Rizal stings

Five people, including a woman and three high-value individuals (HVIs), were arrested in separate buy-bust operations that resulted in the confiscation of P715,260 worth of suspected shabu in San Mateo, Rizal, the Rizal Police Provincial Office reported on Saturday, April 13.

On Friday, April 12, police conducted an entrapment operation in Barangay Malanday, where they arrested two suspects identified as alias Muta and alias Jomel, both tagged as HVIs.

Seized from them were more or less 50.2 grams of shabu worth P341,260.

Three more suspects, including a woman, were nabbed during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Maly on early Saturday, April 13.

Police identified the suspects as alias Jamil, also tagged as HVI; alias Butchoy and alias Amy.

Confiscated from them were 15 plastic sachets containing 55 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P374,000.

All the arrested suspects are currently detained in San Mateo Police custodial facility and will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, police said.
