It wasn’t easy for Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw to wait while his teammates at the newly formed Lions Nation MMA had their moments to shine.

But he always had faith that things would work out, and now here he is.
Pacatiw showed no signs of ring rust in his return to competition when he submitted Wang Shuo in a three-round bantamweight MMA bout at ONE Fight Night 21: Eersel vs. Nicolas inside Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand last Saturday, April 6.
In that fight, “The Juggernaut” secured a rear-naked choke halfway through the first round to earn his second straight win via submission and his third in four fights in ONE Championship.
“To be honest, when I was seeing my teammates get their bouts, I was really wishing that I could get a call. But I remained motivated, I trusted in God’s plan because I don’t want to get ahead of Him,” Pacatiw said.
“I believed in God’s perfect timing, and now I got a fight. I performed well, and I believe that’s the perfect plan for me.”
Now that he’s gotten his momentum back, Pacatiw believes he’s ready to take it to the next level.
Pacatiw hopes to get another fight or two before the end of the year to prove there’s another new major player in the loaded bantamweight division. He also wants a rematch with ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion Fabricio Andrade – the man who gave him his only loss in the promotion.
“I just want to keep myself active,” Pacatiw said. “I hope my win last Saturday gives me another opportunity to showcase my skills. Hopefully I get two more but that depends [on] ONE.”
Should he get his wish, Pacatiw hopes to get a ranked contender.
“I want to face someone from the top five and, if I’m able to get the win, I’ll jump above them and prove my worth,” he said.
“At the end of the day, it’s ONE Championship’s decision. I’ll face whoever they give me, but I hope to be able to compete against the top five.”
