BACOLOD CITY – Shabu worth P1.5 million was seized from suspected drug pushers in police buy-bust operations in this city and Negros Occidental on Wednesday, April 10.

The Police Station 8 arrested 26-year-old Leodegario Asuncion Jr. of Barangay Handumanan here. Asuncion yielded 101 grams of suspected shabu worth P686,800 in an operation in Barangay Pahanocoy here.
Police Major Eugene Tolentino, head of Police Station 8, said the suspect was arrested for a drug offense and applied for probation that resulted in his release from jail.
The Police Station 7 caught 37-year-old Jose Rizal Villalobos Jr. in his house in Barangay Alijis here. The suspect yielded 53 grams of valued at P360,400.
Police Capt. Andy Ofalia, head of Police Station 7, said the suspect was arrested for a drug offense but his case was dismissed.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Regional Special Enforcement Team (RSET)-Bravo apprehended Hylle Parcia, 45, of Barangay Jonob-Jonob, Escalante City. Confiscated from him were seven sachets of shabu worth P340,000.
In Silay City, a job order casual employee and his companion, both aged 34, of Barangay Lantad were arrested in Barangay E. Lopez. They yielded 16 grams of shabu worth P108,800.
Police Lt. Col. Mark Anthony Darroca, Silay police chief, said that the government worker was arrested for a drug offense in August 2019 but later released from jail through plea bargaining.
