CEBU CITY—A 39-year-old French national and a 30-year-old woman from Cebu were found dead inside a camping tent in Tagbilaran City, Bohol on Friday morning, April 12.
The fatalities were identified as Sylvian Florian Delaitre of Angers, France and Jennifer Cornelio of San Fernando town, Cebu but had been living in Bool District, Tagbilaran.
Police found the two lifeless in a camping tent that was set up in a vacant lot inside a subdivision in Bool District.
A gallon of muriatic and a chemical believed to be hydrogen sulfide were found near the bodies, police said.
Police Lt. Col. Gerard Ace Pelare, spokesperson of Police Regional Office-Central Visayas chief Police Brig. Anthony Aberin, said police are still investigating the incident.
Investigators have yet to determine if the deaths were a case of suicide or if there was foul play involved.
“One of the possibilities that is being looked into is it could be that the victims got poisoned because of the chemicals found in the tent. We are still conducting investigation as to what really happened,” Pelare said.
