A Canadian woman wanted for falsification of public documents and estafa was arrested by members of the Pasay City police Substation-9 on Friday, April 12.
Pasay City police chief Col. Mario Mayames identified the suspect as alias Liza, 56, a pharmacist and a resident of Rosal St., Villa Corazon, Barangay San Augustin, San Fernando Pampanga.
Mayames said the suspect was arrested at around 2:30 a.m. inside the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3, Barangay 183, Pasay City by members of Substation-9 in coordination with the Aviation Security Group.
He said the suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for falsification of documents under Article 172, Paragraph (a) in relation to Article 171, Paragraph 6 of the Revised Penal Code issued by Judge Ma. Loudes F. Tolentino of San Fernando City, Pampanga Municipal Trial Court, Branch 1 dated September 9, 2014, with a recommended bail of P12,000.
The city police chief said the suspect is also facing estafa charges issued by Judge Maria Amifaith S. Fider-Reyes of San Fernando City, Pampanga Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 42, on September 8, 2014 with a recommended bail of P22,000.
Mayames said the suspect is now detained at the police custodial facility.
