QCPD files raps vs model in foiled sexual assault on TV host

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD)  on Friday, April 12, filed charges against a male model behind the foiled sexual assault against a female host of a noon time show on April 11.

The police identified the suspect as Shervey Torno, 25, a male model and performer, and a resident of Santiago St., Navotas City.

Based on the police report, at around 7:30 p.m., in Barangay South Triangle, Quezon City, the victim (name withheld) dropped her laundry in her car and as she waited for the elevator to open, she noticed the suspect seated at the lobby and waiting for the elevator.

They both entered the elevator and headed towards the eighth floor and 11th floor.

As the victim left the elevator and headed towards her unit, the suspect followed her. Upon reaching her door, the victim noticed the suspect walking towards the end unit.

The victim rushed to enter her unit and closed the door behind her. She soon heard a knock. She tried to look through the peephole and saw the suspect outside.

When she pened her door slightly, the suspect told her: “Ano Facebook mo te, ang ganda mo kase (What's your Facebook, miss? You're so beautiful)” and as he wrapped his arms around the victim’s waist with his left hand, he said “pakiss nga (Can I get a kiss?).”

The victim said she pushed the suspect away and sought assistance from the security guard at the lobby who promptly apprehended the suspect.

Torno is facing charges for foiled sexual assault, police said.

QCPD Director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan reminded the public to be vigilant and immediately report any untoward incident.

“Magdoble ingat tayo sa lahat ng oras at ireport agad ang ganitong mga pangyayari. Tinitiyak ng QCPD sa biktima na pagbabayaran ng suspek ang kanyang ginawa dahil walang puwang dito sa ating lungsod ang mga ganitong klaseng tao (Let's be extra careful at all times and immediately report such incidents. The QCPD has assured the victim that the perpetrator will be held accountable for his actions because there is no place in our city for such kind of people),” he said.
