Iloilo police seize P2.9-M shabu in Iloilo


ILOILO CITY – Police seized suspected shabu worth P2.9 million from four drug pushers in buy-bust operations on April 9 and 10 in Estancia town, Iloilo province.

Police identified the suspects as Jackie, Lester, Joeffrey, and Salmar.

Jackie yielded shabu worth P1.36 million on April 10.

The 43-year-old Jackie was arrested by the Iloilo Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (IPPO-PDEU) under Police Major Ahlie Estember. The IPPO-PDEU was backed by the Estancia Municipal Police Station, 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company, and Iloilo Maritime Police Station.

Iloilo police chief Police Col. Ronaldo Palomo lauded the arrest of the lady drug suspect who is considered as a high-valued individual in the illegal drugs trade in Estancia.

Lester and his companions were caught on April 9 and confiscated from them was P1.53-million worth of shabu.

The operation was led by the PRO-6 Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU-6).

PRO-6 director Police Brig. Gen.  Jack Wanky congratulated the operating units for their accomplishments.

"Let this success inspire us to further safeguard our communities and exert more effort to defeat the menace of illegal drugs," said Wanky.

Suspects face drug-related charges.
