Pokwang vows to protect the peace she has now following ex-partner's deportation

Following the deportation of her former partner, actor Lee O'Brian, comedienne Pokwang vowed to protect the peace she has now.
On her Instagram story, Pokwang shared a poignant art card that encapsulates her journey as a single mom, aptly titled 'Single Mom Journey '.
A part of the art card read: "I will forever protect the peace I have now, and I will never let another person make me feel unworthy of love, happiness, and peace."
On April 11, the Bureau of Immigration announced the deportation of Lee from the Philippines.
On June 13, 2023, Pokwang filed a petition for the deportation of her former partner and the cancellation of his visa. In December, Lee was ordered deported by Philippine authorities for violating his work visa.

In a separate interview in February, Pokwang said she has gracefully moved on from a failed relationship with Lee.
Despite the heartache, Pokwang has shown that moving on and finding happiness again is possible.
"Medyo mahirap kasi iniisip ko yung anak namin. Pero wala pa naman sa tamang pag-iisip si Malia pero sasabihin ko rin ang lahat. Huwag nila akong pangunahan. Problemahin nila ang buhay nila, huwag yung buhay ko," she said.
Pokwang, 53, revealed that her six-year-old daughter Malia is still unaware of the status of her relationship with Lee. She said that she would explain everything to Malia about Lee at the appropriate time.
On her learnings from a failed relationship, Pokwang said: "Mahalin mo muna ang sarili mo. Dapat huwag yung I will give my all. Magtipid ka rin para sa sarili mo para kung may mangyari man, hindi masakit." (Love yourself first. Don't give everything. Save for yourself so that if something happens, it won't hurt.)
