Police Capt. Claudio Gako, chief of the Moalboal Police Station, said the incident happened past 9 a.m. when the driver of a Suzuki Jimny lost control of the steering wheel and rammed the glass wall of a Jollibee store.
Gako said the 64-year-old driver, Anatolio Cardente Jr. of Barangay Calamba, Cebu City, was backing up from the store’s parking area when he hit a passenger bus that was unloading passengers at the time.
After he rear-ended the bus, Cardente tried to drive forward but his vehicle accelerated toward the store, shattering the glass panel.
One of the dining customers, Niño Gabunada Besa, 33, of Barangay Poblacion, Moalboal, was hit by the Jimny vehicle.
Besa was wounded in the arms and was rushed to the hospital.
Cardente was brought to the police station together with the store manager for further investigation.
The amount of damage caused by the accident was not immediately known.
