Kenji Duremdes and Kyle Magdangal are set to transfer from the University of Santo Tomas to the University of East in the UAAP, a source told Manila Bulletin/Tempo on Thursday, April 11.
Kenji and Magdangal, sons of PBA legend and MPBL commissioner Kenneth Duremdes, are expected to serve a 1-year residency before they banner the Red Warriors in Season 88.
The addition of the Duremdes brothers will be pivotal for UE with the departure of last year’s MVP runner-up Rey Remogat who joined the UP Fighting Maroons in January.
Last season, the duo only played limited minutes for the Growling Tigers who ended their stint with a 2-12 win-loss card at eight place.
Kenji and Kyle still have two remaining years in the UAAP.
