Body found floating on river in Pangasinan

URBIZTONDO, Pangasinan – The body of a man was found floating on the Agno River in Barangay Galarin here on Wednesday, April 10.

A farmer, Botbot delos Santos, was pasturing his cattle on an island that formed in the middle of the Agno River when he saw the body.

Delos Santos reported his discovery to the police who said the victim was a  5’4” to 5’6” in height, around 30- to 35-years-old, and wearing a navy blue jersey shirt printed with the No. 17 and the word Calangian on the back and maong short pants. 

Police believe that the victim drowned carried away by the strong river current.

The body was retrieved by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office here.
