5 areas may experience 'dangerous' heat index on April 11 — PAGASA
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said five areas in the country may experience “dangerous” heat index values on Thursday, April 11.

Based on PAGASA’s daily heat index report, Dagupan City, Pangasinan had a dangerous heat index of 44°C in the past three consecutive days, which may continue on Thursday, April 11 to Friday, April 12.
Meanwhile, a heat index of 43°C may be experienced in Aborlan and Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, while a heat index of 42°C may be felt in Bacnotan,La Union and Roxas City, Capiz.
PAGASA advised the public to always drink plenty of water, limit time spent outdoors particularly at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and bring umbrellas and other protection from direct heat if going outside cannot be avoided.
It said heat indices ranging from 42-51°C pose danger to the body, as heat stroke is possible due to continued activity, while heat cramps and heat exhaustion are also likely to be experienced.
