2 drugs suspects arrested in Pasay City

Two drug suspects, one of them a woman, were arrested in separate buy-bust operations conducted by members of the Pasay City police on Tuesday, April 9.

Pasay City police Chief Col. Mario Mayames identified the suspects as alias Gar, 51, female, of Sgt. Mariano St., Barangay 148, Pasay City; and Algie, 24, a resident of R. Higgins St., Barangay 184, Pasay City.

Mayames said Gar, who was listed in the police drug watch list and placed as a high value target (HVT), was arrested at around 2:00 p.m. along Munoz St., Barangay 43, Zone 6, Pasay City.

He said members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) were able to confiscate from her some 4.7 grams of shabu worth P31,290.00 and the P500 buy-bust money.

The city police chief said the second suspect, Algie, was arrested at around 10:00 p.m. along Suha and Lanzones St., Barangay 187, Zone 20, Pasay City.

Mayames said Algie was arrested by members of the Station Intelligence Section (SIS) following a complaint from an informant of his illegal drug activities.

He said SIS operatives confiscated from him about 10.08 grams of shabu worth P68,544.

The city police chief said the suspects were immediately detained at the SDEU custodial facility and were charged for illegal possession of drugs.
