CAMP COL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The Police Regional Office-13 led by Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft commemorated Araw ng Kagitingan or Day of Valor on Tuesday, April 9.

The PRO-13 recognized the selfless sacrifice of Filipinos who fought in Bataan during World War II in a wreath-laying ceremony at the PRO-13 headquarters Law Enforcement Memorial.
Kraft urged police officers in the Caraga region to ensure solidarity, do more for the country, and think more of public service and less of themselves.
“Let us strengthen our solidarity further and tread a single direction towards the fulfillment of the collective aspiration of Bagong Pilipinas.”
Meanwhile, 247 PRO-13 policemen graduated from the Basic Internal Security Operation Course at the 13th Regional Special Training Unit (13th RSTU) in Santiago, Agusan del Norte on Tuesday.
BISOC is a 60-day specialized training designed to develop personal effectiveness and capability of personnel in handling internal security operations.
Three classes comprised of 212 males and 35 females with the rank of patrolman and patrolwomen completed the BISOC and will be assigned to the line companies of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion stationed in the different areas in the region.
Kraft lauded the new BISOC graduates for their exemplary performance during their training.
“With this batch of BISOC graduates, we are optimistic to score more substantial gains on the ground against insurgency,” he said. “Their intensive training is of greater advantage against the Communist Terrorist Group.”
