Police net P10-M shabu from high-value individual

CEBU CITY – More than P10-million worth of suspected shabu was seized from a 26-year-old man in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bacayan here on Tuesday night, April 9.

The suspect was identified as Carl Kenneth Tura Cabajar, described by the police as a high-value individual.

The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit seized from the suspect 1.5 kilos of shabu with an estimated value of P10.2 million.

Police said that the suspect served as the right hand of a drug personality currently detained  at the Cebu City Jail Male Dormitory. 

Police added that Cabajar was the same person who was arrested in 2019 by operatives of the Talamban Police Station of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) for violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Police investigation showed that Cabajar personally managed the illegal drug business of the detained drug personality.

The suspect was capable of selling three to five kilos of shabu per week.

Police said that based on tactical interrogation, it was found out that the suspect was the source of illegal drugs that were seized from previously arrested suspects.
