'Please wait for us': Military-bound K-pop group iKON finishes last concert in Manila
There were mixed feelings of happiness and sadness for Filipino fans as K-pop group iKON held their concert in Manila last April 7 at the Araneta Coliseum.
The concert, dubbed as the “2024 iKON Limited Tour–Get Back in Manila,” was the group’s last concert in Manila before members will start enlisting in the military, a mandatory duty for all Korean men.

Hours before the concert started, 143 Entertainment, iKON’s agency, announced that members Bobby and Chan-woo (or Chan) will be enlisting in the military next month. Bobby will go first on May 21 followed by Chan-woo on May 27 with no event to be held on the day of enlistment. iKON’s Jay is currently fulfilling his military service since July last year.
Manila was the last stop in the Limited Tour. IKON started the show with their performances of “Tantara” and “Sinosijak.”
“It’s been a while since I came to Manila,” said Ju-ne while Song said, “Long time no see, Manila!”
Bobby said, “This is gonna be our last stop.”
“Before the rehearsal, I could see that you were so passionate,” said Chan.
The concert showed iKON performing their songs “At Ease,” “Killing Me,” “Rhythm Ta,” “Bling Bling,” “Love Scenario,” and “U.”
“We are also so thankful that our last destination is here in Manila,” said DK.
During the show, the members discussed their solo projects. Bobby released his album “Sir.Robert” in February while Song dropped his first solo album “It’s Call” last month. Ju-ne made his film debut on April 10 with the release of “Again 1997.” DK said he is preparing a solo album.
For the solo spots, DK performed “LTNS” and “Groovin” while Ju-ne had “Want You Back” and Song performed “It’s Call.”
IKON continued the show with “Like a Movie,” “T.T.M,” “Goodbye Road,” “What’s Wrong,” “Dumb & Dumber,” “B-Day,” “Freedom,” “Panorama” and “But You.”
A video was also shown with greetings from fans.
“Thank you so much for your biggest cheers and loudest passion for us guys. Please wait for us with your passionate love, okay?,” said Ju-ne.
Bobby talked about his upcoming military service, saying, “There’s a date for me to go to the military. Actually the date for me to go to the military has been released. But thinking about it, I’m returning around November next year. If you guys just wait for me, I’ll come back, okay?” He will be discharged on Nov. 20, 2025.
“Ikonic, thank you for having a wonderful time with us. There will be a short moment of time that we will not come back here but we will make sure to come back as a whole [group]. We’ll be back with better performances. Also, I’ll do my best in the military service,” said Song, who made a salute.
Chan said, “Thank you so much for making this beautiful time for us. I’ll try to take ample rest after going there. And we’ll make sure to come back next year so wait for us, okay? We love you guys so much.” He will be discharged on Nov. 26, 2025.
“Thank you all so much for coming. We’ll surely come back as a whole as iKON and also our solo albums,” said DK.
The “2024 iKON Limited Tour–Get Back in Manila” was presented by Rafaella Entertainment and CDM Entertainment.
