LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police destroyed marijuana worth P1.2 million in eradication operations in the towns of Kibungan and Bakun in the province of Benguet on April 9.
The Benguet Police Provincial Office, assisted by the Police Regional Office Cordillera-Regional Intelligence Division and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera, discovered 3,000 fully-grown marijuana plants valued at P600,000 in a plantation in Sitio Bana, Barangay Tacadang, Kibungan.
They also found 3,000 FGMJP worth P600,000 in Sitio Talo-an, Barangay Tacadang. Four-hundred twenty FGMJP valued at P84,000 were discovered in Sitio Anito, Barangay Kayapa, Bakun.
Authorities documented their discoveries before burning them on site.
