Vendor drowns on Easter Sunday in Ilocos Sur

CANDON CITY, Ilocos Sur â€“ A vendor drowned on the sea in Barangay Calao-an here on Easter Sunday.

Police identified the victim as Domell B. PeÃ±aloza, 21, a resident of Barangay Calao-an.

The victim, who was reportedly drunk, joined his friends in swimming in the sea.

PeÃ±aloza was swept away by strong waves and later on seen floating on the sea.

He was taken to shore and given cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) before he was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead.
