The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning on Monday, April 1, regarding the purchase and utilization of 11 unregistered cosmetic products.

In an advisory, the agency identified 11 cosmetic items deemed "not safe for use," urging consumers to exercise caution.
The flagged products include "Fairer Whitening Soap,” “Fair Well Beauty Essential,” “Sensi Skin Age Control Soap,” “Amino Intense Keratin Treatment,” “Kahamis Organic Carrot Soap,” “Guanjing Slimming Body Cream Shaping Perfection,” “Summer’s Eve Island Splash Freshening Spray 5in1,” “Silk Secrets Powdered Blotting Paper,” “Perfect Skin Lady Vitamin E Whitening Soap x 10 Plus,” “Brightest Skin Essentials Dermax Premium Soap,” and “Perfect Skin All Naturals Sunblock Gel Cream Spf 45.”
Based on the FDA's postmarketing surveillance, these items lack a valid Certificate of Product Notification (CPN) as of March 12.
Expressing concerns, the FDA highlighted potential health risks associated with these unregistered cosmetics.
The absence of regulatory scrutiny raises alarms about the quality and safety of these products.
The agency warned that ingredients prohibited in cosmetics or contamination by heavy metals could lead to severe reactions, such as skin irritation, anaphylactic shock, and even organ failure.
To safeguard public health, the FDA strongly advises against purchasing the said unregistered cosmetic products.
It has also directed all concerned establishments to refrain from distributing these items until they have complied fully with the FDA's regulations.
