Seven drowned in the province of Cagayan during the Holy Week.

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said two were from Solana and one each in Camalaniugan, Santa Ana, Gonzaga, Santa Teresita, and Santo Nino.
Most of the victims were men aged 20 to 50 and were under the influence of alcohol.
Sixty persons were injured in road accidents in Cagayan during the Holy Week.
Arnold Azucena of the Task Force Lingkod Cagayan-Quick Response Team said this number is higher compared to last year.
As the Holy Week ended, the Cagayan PDRRM Council will be downgraded to blue from red alert status on Tuesday, April 2.

CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela – A 15-year-old boy drowned on a river in Barangay Dalibubon, Jones, Isabela on Easter Sunday.
Police and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Jones, Isabela are conducting search and retrieval operations for the boy.
Police Major Felixberto Lelina, Jones chief of police, said the victim, Nomar Macapulay, a resident of Barangay Arabiat, Echague, Isabela, was swept away by strong water current while he and his two friends were swimming in the river. (Freddie Lazaro)
